FEES
Social Security Administration determines the fees that a representative may charge.
The fee for winning benefits is based on a contingency agreement. Meaning, you only pay if your case is won. The commissioner of Social Security sets the fee at 25% of awarded back benefits, up to a maximum of $6,000.
Often, attorney firms and large disability representation corporations charge their clients additional fees to obtain medical records. Guardian Disability Advocacy understands that most people in need of disability are not able to afford the costs of medical records. In most situations, GDA covers the cost to obtain the medical records needed to support winning benefits.
With the expert help of GDA on your side, you have a better chance of winning sooner and maybe with a larger award of back benefits.
